Co-Working Space for Game Developers: Now Open for Business

There’s a bit of an underground game development movement happening here in the Okanagan. Quite literally that is. In basements across the Valley! But no aspiring game developer can work alone in their basement forever. Well a few did, and they did pretty well doing it, hint hint. But it is just that, my friends, which is the catalyst for our newest initiative – the grand opening of a co-working space specifically for Game Developers Valley-wide.

For now, we’ll call it The Accelerate Okanagan Game Lab: A space for entrepreneurial developers who are in the process of or are thinking of trying out developing a game, conceptualized by Club Penguin Co-Founder, Lance Priebe of RocketSnail Games and supplied by Accelerate Okanagan Technology Association.

This unique, open space area, located at 1405 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC has access to up to 5 desks, high speed internet access, access to 3 wired conference rooms, a shared lounge with swanky furniture & TV, coffee/tea/water, a kitchen PLUS access to network daily with the Valley’s hottest start-ups and other developers doing similar work. Cost is on a per seat, monthly basis with desks set at $150/month.

So don’t delay – we are filling up fast. Get in on this opportunity to get your development off on the right foot.

Contact Community Managers Ashley (Central/North) or Andrew (South) with initial inquiries and to book a tour.
