Accelerate Okanagan Welcomes, Bardel Entertainment Inc., to the Kelowna Innovation Center

In a statement released today, CEO, Jeff Keen, welcomed Bardel Entertainment Inc., to its facility. Bardel will be moving into the Kelowna Innovation Center effective today. Welcome, Bardel!

“We are pleased to be relocating the studio within the technology hub in Kelowna. It is important for the crew and the facility to be in a place where there are other creative’s, as well as access to state of the art technical resources that will enable Bardel Entertainment’s satellite studio to grow and flourish in Kelowna.”, states Bardel Founder Barry Ward.

This new residency brings the number of total Digital Screen-based Media producers in the building up to 25 including highly skilled Animators, Illustrators, Developers and Technical Directors.

“For any screen-based entertainment company looking to expand, Kelowna, with its proximity to Vancouver is now proving to be a hotbed for satellite studios with access to the perfect balance of Jr. and Sr. level talent. Well established artists are re-locating here and new artists are graduating from the feeder schools like the Center for Arts and Technology and now Okanagan College.” states Ashley Ramsay, Community Manager for Accelerate Okanagan.

Bardel Entertainment Inc. has been slowly ramping up production at their satellite office in Kelowna and has grown their crew to approximately 7 animators, with plans to add additional employees over the summer of 2012.

Bardel has begun producing a new digital 2D series for Frederator’s Google channel in their satellite studio to add to the CGI series that they are currently producing for Nickelodeon.
