Entrepreneurs Unplugged is a monthly session where community members & students with technical backgrounds can learn about entrepreneurship. Each Entrepreneurs Unplugged session features food, drink, networking and – most importantly – experienced entrepreneurs sharing their startup experiences.
Falling on the first Monday of every month, each session will be hosted in the Streaming Cafe and will be live streamed online. This month, seasoned entrepreneur, Raghwa Gopal, Chairman for Gopal Holding Ltd, tells his story.
A Software Engineer by trade, Raghwa Gopal has founded and established a number of businesses in Kelowna and internationally, the most notable of which was Vadim Software. Raghwa retired as President & Chief Technology Officer of Vadim Software at end of 2006. He has also had extensive experience and been directly involved in a number of mergers & acquisitions throughout his career.
President of the Okanagan Angel Network, Raghwa continues to invest in regional ventures. He sits on the Board of a number of local and international businesses, as well as not-for-profit organizations. Raghwa is a Certified Business Coach, and a Certified Executive Coach. Awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 1999, and recognized as a “Technology Innovator”, he is a Lead Mentor with BC Innovation Council, Executive in Residence with Accelerate Okanagan and Entrepreneur in Residence at Okanagan College.
