#OKGNtech, we are so proud of you. We see you taking chances, going for it and making things happen. We see you working late, pivoting hard, and never giving up. You’re an innovative collective with big dreams and even bigger hearts and there is no question – you are destined for greatness.

January is a special time of year for the team at Accelerate Okanagan. Normally, we’re all eagerly awaiting our annual New Year Kick Off celebration, commonly referred to as NYKO /ni·ko/.

While NYKO is never on New Year’s Eve, it is often referred to as the true start to the New Year and a MUST attend event for the #OKGNtech community. It’s a chance to reconnect with old friends, colleagues and get excited about the year ahead. It’s also a chance for #OKGNtech to let its hair down—just a little.

Due to the ongoing restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be hosting NYKO in January. It’s tough not having the opportunity to be together but we know safety comes first.

We wanted to take you on a trip down memory lane and explore the last 9 years of good times and great friends.

#OKGNtech, we hope to see you on the dance floor again soon. Although we can’t be together in person, let’s welcome the new year with optimistic open arms and continue to show our love and support for local businesses in our community.
