Canadian Business and PROFIT today ranked Strawhouse Inc, as No. 1 on the 2017 STARTUP 50 ranking of Canada’s Top New Growth Companies. Serving as a companion list to the longstanding PROFIT 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies and produced as a joint venture between Canada’s premier business and current affairs media brands, the STARTUP 50 ranks younger companies on two-year revenue growth. STARTUP 50 winners are profiled in the October issue of Maclean’s magazine and online at CanadianBusiness.com.

“This year’s STARTUP 50 winners are truly remarkable,” says Deborah Aarts, STARTUP 50 and PROFIT 500 program manager. “Not only have they brought new offerings to market, they’ve earned enough traction to grow their revenues exponentially in a very short period of time.

Strawhouse topped the 2017 STARTUP 50 list by riding a two-year revenue growth of 3,034%.

“Any aspiring entrepreneur should look to them for insight into how to create, and grow, a thriving startup today.”

“Strawhouse is honoured to be ranked as #1 on the STARTUP 50 ranking,” says Co-founder Jason Kryski. “This achievement is a reflection of our team’s dedication and exceptional capacity to innovate and execute when the stakes are high. We created Strawhouse to disrupt the traditional agency model and drive higher value for companies whose goals are to broaden the distribution of their product or service in a low-risk, cost-effective way.

“We are evolving an industry by creating technology that generates incredibly accurate, actionable market insight. Leveraging this insight has resulted in tremendous scale and ROI for our partners.”

Jason Kryski and Naveed Ramadan, Strawhouse Inc. co-founders, pooled their complementary expertise from mutually existing marketing & technology businesses to create Strawhouse. With a specific focus on disruptive technology and a performance business model, ecommerce activity is driven more effectively and profitably.

Kryski offers this advice to aspiring entrepreneurs:

“Aside from the obvious advice of ‘being tenacious, confronting fear, persevering,’ I think the best advice is to evaluate yourself honestly and be aware of the processes by which you think. Executing on an idea and building a successful business is frequently a mental challenge, metacognition is your ally. Some confidence and a healthy dose of paranoia doesn’t hurt either.”
