OBSA Connect Presented by BDO is the only networking event that provides students of the Okanagan Valley with the opportunity to connect with leading local businesses in a dynamic setting, as evidenced by the integration of both modern and traditional forms of communication amongst tastings of local beer and wines.
For the past 39 years, the OBSA has hosted an annual networking event titled “The OBSA Business Reception”, that allows students to connect with local businesses. The event has grown over the years, attracting up to 400 guests including business students, faculty, and local professionals and has evolved from a sit-down dinner reception with keynote speakers to a stand-up social format. This spring, the event has adopted its new name OBSA Connect, as well as several value-adding elements that will improve upon the focus of creating connections.
Held in the heart of the Okanagan School of Business, the Centre for Learning Atrium showcases the next generation of business professionals to the Okanagan business community. Guests will enjoy beer, wine, and cider from local businesses as well as hors d'oeuvres to fuel the conversation. The introduction of the Whova Event App enables modern communication to take place before, during, and following the event as well gives guests access to inside information and the chance to win prizes that you will not want to miss!
