We’re looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join our growing team. This is an executive level position reporting directly to our CEO. As CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the development team, implementing the strategy to take our technology into the future, and providing dependable technical expertise to a wide range of stakeholders. What You’ll Do
Establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development.
Work with other department managers as an advisor of technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide technical leadership in a collaborative fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission and values.
Develop and oversee IT budgets to make sure there are no unnecessary expenditures
Develop and direct all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect information
Direct the development of technical disaster recovery plans
Participate as a member of the senior leadership team in establishing process to ensure that technical objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organization’s technical resources are used responsibly.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices by attending relevant conferences and reading widely.
Ensure technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization’s management and staff, with regard to the company’s technological vision.
Ensures company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Establish and monitor pipeline strategies, guidelines, scope and innovative solutions.
Participate in staff evaluations, goal-setting, and feedback.
Select and negotiate with outside technical service providers when needed.
You have at least 10+ years of experience in software engineering, 5+ years in the Game industry with demonstrated success at the executive level
You’ve got expert knowledge of .Net, ASP.Net and agile development practices using Atlassian tools, C#, Unity, Web Development
You’re proficient in secure and efficient API design
You’re knowledgeable in digital security, encryption, and authentication technologies
You’re able to actively communicate, inspire, and motivate all levels of staff.
You think think and act strategically and proactively.
You have strong writing and communication skills.
You’ve got strong time management skills and are able to juggle multiple tasks
You’re able to work cooperatively on a team spanning from owners, producers, managers, and artists
