POSITION OVERVIEW:

Tolko's Data Architect is responsible for the enterprise-wide practices of data management including the design, development, documentation, implementation and support of various systems. A critical deliverable for the role is the development of long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, department managers and other stakeholders. Working with the BI team, the Data Architect will be a champion for data across the organization and will lead the charge in driving data engagement. The Data Architect will have a solid understanding of DataOps, BI Maturity, Data Literacy, and the Agile project management methodology.


QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of hands on experience in data architecture, data mining and data modeling
3+ years’ experience working with large scale project linking data from multiple lines of business, preferably on Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with data profiling and cleansing
Expert level knowledge of data architecture tools, standards and processes
  • Hands on experience in implementing enterprise data management processes, data governance, procedures and decision support
  • Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles and practices
  • Strong knowledge of SQL development; Experience with DAX and tabular model development
  • Experience with Azure DataBricks, Data Factory and Power BI
