We currently have an open position for a highly organized Office Manager who will champion Habitat for Humanity’s vision while ensuring office operations are running efficiently and smoothly.  

Supporting the Okanagan Valley from Armstrong to Osoyoos for over 25 years, Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is a for-impact, non-profit housing organization. Our model empowers families to invest in home ownership. We build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter because we believe every family should have safe, decent, affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity has built and sold 33 homes with many more projects on the way! Since 1991, ReStore locations across the country have been allowing local Habitats to partner with even more families in need!  

The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the office and its equipment (e.g., copiers, computers, phones, etc.), systems (e.g., IT, security,) and processes (e.g., flow of information, business processes, etc.) as well as managing the administrative and bookkeeping functions.

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Managing and monitoring administrative activities and workflow and assisting with administrative and office issues as they arise  
  • Liaising with lawyers, mortgage providers and financial institutions 
  • Managing relationships and support contracts with external service providers 
  • Planning, monitoring and managing daily operations, problem solving issues as they arise  
  • Onboarding new team members and managing the new hire process  
  • Tracking attendance and overseeing payroll 
  • Anticipating office needs for optimal function including equipment, cleaning, heating and supplies for all areas of the organization

  • A degree in business administration  
  • 5 years’ experience in an office manager role 
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical practices and procedures 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Efficient and effective problem-solving abilities 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs  
  • A positive, team player attitude
