The Quality Assurance Analyst is accountable for maintaining data and software quality within the organization. This includes writing and executing test scenarios to fully test issues, enhancements, applications and corresponding data to make sure the results are reliable, fully functional, and user-friendly. Additionally, the QA analyst is responsible for daily system administration, configuration and maintenance.
May include but not limited to:
◾Technical expert and end user support for customer information systems, advanced metering systems, bill design applications, payment transfer processes, field tools and reporting tools.
◾Configuration, administration and maintenance of all systems based on business and regulatory requirements.
◾Analyze vendor-driven release notes, feature specs and upgrade change lists and create/execute custom test scripts with an understanding of impact to business.
◾Responsible for troubleshooting, analysis, issue reproduction, issue logging, testing and validation of fixes and enhancements for all systems.
◾Perform bill print quality assurance for production issues, enhancements or as a result of project work.
◾Collaborate with business, product and development teams to determine what to test for production issues, enhancements and projects. ◾Create, execute, validate and document tests for reported issues and enhancements.
◾Recommend and perform batch updates to ensure data integrity.
◾Responsible for all data mapping efforts including analysis and documentation.
◾Other duties as assigned.

◾Excellent written and verbal communications skills to properly document issues/enhancements and work directly with both the business and IT for resolution.
◾Excellent prioritization skills, focusing on the most important / time sensitive tasks.
◾Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task deadline-driven tasks.
◾Strong investigation and analytical skills, utilizing both black and grey box testing.
◾Strong attention to detail with focus on ensuring the delivery of high quality accurate and reliable data.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
◾Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution in computer science, quality assurance or software-related diploma and 2 years’ experience with testing including test strategies, executions of tests and issues tracking or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
◾Proficient with computer systems and related programs including Microsoft Office, Access and Visio.
◾Demonstrated knowledge of customer information systems, advanced metering systems, bill design applications, payment transfer processes, field tools and reporting tools.
◾Understanding of change control and auditing standards.
◾Understanding of querying using SQL an asset.
