The position –
As the front-line Receptionist & Office Administrator, you will be the first face customers see and will direct incoming calls to your colleagues through the multi-line switchboard.
As to be expected, you would be responsible for sorting incoming mail (both email and "snail mail") as well as coordinating the outgoing mail while maintaining courier and shipment logs and responding to inquiries.
Standard administrative duties such as scanning, photocopying, filing, etc. will be a day to day part of your role but what makes this role a little different is that you will also assist with some invoicing and Accounts Receivable duties such as sending customer statements, taking credit card payments, posting cheques and sometimes processing licensing changes in the database.
Your skills & experience –
As an experienced Receptionist & Office Administrator, it is second nature to you to use switchboards, have outstanding organizational skills, strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office and databases) and excellent communication skills.
What will set you apart as the best candidate for the role will be your experience with Quickbooks, post secondary education (ideally in Business Administration or Accounting) and your knowledge of accounting principles.
The package –
This position is for 22.5 hours per week starting at 10:00am (part-time) OR full-time for the right candidate with a rate of pay set at $20 per hour. After completing your probationary period you will be eligible for the company benefits and RRSP program.
