We are taking Startup Basics on the road with Startup Basics Route 97 Edition. This November, our team will be visiting four different cities throughout the Okanagan; Penticton, Kelowna, Vernon, and Salmon Arm.
In each city, there will be two workshops presented by Accelerate Okanagan mentors, a panel discussion featuring local entrepreneurs and innovators, and a networking event designed to build community and inspire connection. The workshops are designed to educate early-stage entrepreneurs on the fundamentals needed to transform an idea into a startup.
Click through to each city to learn more about the individual sessions.
WHAT IS STARTUP BASICS?
Developed for early-stage entrepreneurs and career changers, the Startup Basics Program supplies participants with the tools and resources needed to accelerate their idea to the next stage. Startup Basics is a classroom style program split into distinct topics. Sessions are presented by Accelerate Okanagan Staff, Executive in Residence Mentors, Partners, and Alumni. Each session is designed to educate the entrepreneur on the fundamentals needed to transform idea into startup.
HOW WILL STARTUP BASICS SUPPORT ME?

Training and Courses: Targeted sessions provide structured content, tools, and follow up summaries to help educate tech and tech-enabled entrepreneurs about business and entrepreneurship best practices.
Peer-to-Peer Engagement: Sessions are delivered in a group setting where entrepreneurs meet each other, collaborate and learn together, and build lasting relationships to help each other out as they turn ideas into companies.
